TONY'S PROFILEMy first day at Lyons was on the 4th June 1984, and I made boxes for 10 hours! When I was asked ‘can you do a 12 hour shift tomorrow, and for the rest of the week’, I wondered what on earth I’d let myself in for. However I got on with it and soon found myself progressing through Stores, Production and Supply Chain. I spent a number of years developing systems of control in packaging and storage and then moved into the Buying function.
In 2003 I moved into Raw material Purchasing, and in 2011 I moved into my current role where I am responsible for all Shellfish, Packaging, Ingredient and Goods and Services buying across the UK.
I really enjoy understanding the capabilities of all of my suppliers to ensure we are supplied with the very best in the market.

ARTUR'S PROFILEI joined Lyons in September 2011, my second job after leaving Poland. My first job had been in a restaurant kitchen, so I felt very at home when my first job at Lyons was preparing vegetables for one of the production lines.
Since then I have had various roles in the factory, and I am now a skilled operator, operating sophisticated computer based equipment.
I have recently been on a factory visit to a supplier. This gave me a better understanding of the process and developed the breadth and depth of my knowledge. I am now a participant on the Lyons PRIDE development programme. This is a place I really feel I am valued and can develop.

ADAM'S PROFILEI have just started at Lyons working as a Responsible Sourcing Co-ordinator and my role is to assist the Head of Sustainability in order to maintain the company’s sustainability leadership position. By providing accurate and timely sustainability information on fisheries and supply chains, I can help to deliver Lyons commercial objectives.
Having come into the role straight from University I have a keen desire to learn more and develop my skill set. At Lyons I have the perfect opportunity to do this, working closely with various departments across the business and gaining an insight into the commercial world.

CHRISTIE'S PROFILEI am the Management Accountant for commercial covering both Lyons & Farne businesses, working alongside the Senior Management Accountant and the Financial Controller. My role is to aid the Commercial team to meet targets and help improve performance by issuing meaningful and accurate reports of a varied nature. I also have a responsibility to report Management Accounts to the board and ensure they are useful and accurate to help the board lead the company to meet the set objectives and follow the agreed business strategy.
I love my job here at Lyons, I have grown not only as an Accountant but also as a person. The exposure I get gives me a great view and understanding of the full business. The people I work with makes the job even better, Lyon’s is definitely somewhere I plan to stay and grow even further.
